About us

Since 2012 ‘Menyiwadawodo’has beenworking in the Central Region of Ghana. As part of their mandate as an NGO they support the communal authorities to fulfill their duties. For this, Menyiwadawodo , has been offering vulnerable children the time to engage in other activities through our after-school programs which includes education, arts, sports and counseling. Before the inception of the program, most of these children lack parental control and roam the streets of Cape Coast begging visitors for arms or collecting rubbish under unhygienic conditions for money. These left most of these kids to skip school and eventually dropout of school.
Throughout the years of its existence the NGO had been networking with the schools and other NGOs of the community for their programs cause it was found necessary to include them when we decided to work more on the “Education for Sustainable Development” (ESD) aspects. We realized on preparing the young generation on their way to the future we also must create the opportunities for them to become strong and responsible members of the society. Together with the sponsored children from the NGO we were able to promote programs targeting the Sustainable Development Goals. Throughout the years our own knowledge and experiences on doing programs on education, health and environment became more focused on these common goals.

For this we found our self in a self-learning and further educational process to become an NGO with a background with professional knowledge and skills.
The NGO is operated by a country director and a deputy and various volunteer staff.
